moving pictures

Only difference is it's
smaller, screen, I mean,
otherwise it's the same,
thirty staring seconds
in a flickering grainy abyss,
broke old prizefighters
performing ripples and turns,
european grins in a black and white echo.

Yesterday elephants electrocuted
just kept on dying,
crumpling like a wire dolls
in an endless celluloid loop,
two bits projector vomiting ghosts
until the sparks stop and the smoke clears.
